Significant savings potential in CO2, energy and materials...
...through the innovative HDG Pressure Seal Module and flexible packaging paper from Koehler Paper.
Nearly one-third less CO2 emissions compared to conventional paper/PE composite materials. This significant saving is achieved in the production of the "NexPlus MC" packaging paper. A sustainable packaging solution that is made of 100% paper, recyclable, and conserves valuable resources.
The new "Pressure-Seal Module" for the HDG-RB series enables the production of 100% paper bags without the need for a heat-sealable barrier layer. Together with the specially developed "NexPlus MC" packaging paper from Koehler Paper, which has high mechanical strength and no sealing layer, this technology leads to a significant 34% energy saving during the production of paper bags, as heat-sealing tools for vertical sealing are no longer required. Additionally, the elimination of the barrier layer reduces the cost of materials by 50%, compared to the traditional barrier papers.
100% paper. 100% recyclable.
The "Pressure-Seal Module" was developed for all standard RB Simplex machines and allows the production of various bag types from 100% paper, including 3-side seal bags, gusseted bags (fully sealed) and double bags with a maximum bag length of up to 250mm and a minimum width of 50mm. Application as secondary packaging for dry food products e.g. snacks and confectionary, and as primary packaging for products that don’t require a barrier e.g. non food like tools or toys
A successful partnership.
The long-standing collaboration between HDG and Koehler Paper has led to this innovative solution. The "Pressure-Seal Module" and the "NexPlus MC" packaging paper represent a significant advancement towards sustainable packaging solutions and underscore the joint commitment to environmental protection and resource efficiency.
